Keith Smith

I went through basic training and armor school at Ft. Knox in October 1979, Platoon E-3-1.  My First duty station was 3rd Armored Division, 1/33rd Armor, A-Company, 3rd Platoon at Gelnhausen Germany.  I was there for 2-1/2 years then I was transferred to the Big Red 1, 1/34th Armor HHC, C-company. I served a total of 3 years on a M60A3 Tank as a loader, driver.I only did three years because I had to go home to help my mom with my little sister who was drying from cancer.
 
I am the Father of 2, Grandfather of 2 and have been married for 32 years.  I may be an old Tanker but still have a lot of fight left in me! I love my country and my flag and would still defend her today! I can’t imagine ever living in any other country in the world except the greatest country in the world, the United States of America!  God Bless the USA!
