Born in Atlanta, GA. Graduated from Homewood High School 1983. 4 years of AFJROTC.
Enlisted im US Army 1983, OSUT at Ft. Knox, KY Bravo 3/1 January – April 1984. 2/68 Armor, 8th ID Baumholder, FRG 1984-1986, 5/73 Armor reflagged to 1/10 Cav, 194th Armor Bde, 1986-1988, Fort Knox, KY.
Currently lives in Alabaster, AL with wife Debra, has two children; James, JR. and Carrieleigh.
Lifetime Founding Member of USABOT. Planned and executed First Annual Tankers Homecoming. Designed the USABOT logo and the patterns for battalion patches. Was the first National XO (vice president at the time). Assisted in the creation and configuration of the battalions.
Elected SGM of the 9th Hellcat Battalion 2019.
