Abrams Company, 4th Battalion USABOT has been collaborating with the Town of Hamilton, Massachusetts and American Legion Post 194 to restore the memorial to the Third Army at Patton Field. Our part is the restoration of the tank, which was last painted 8 years ago. When the entire project is done, the tank memorial will have very nice landscaping added, and signage will be put up with historical information about the role of the Third Army in WW2 and its commander, General George S. Patton. We plan on completing the tank restoration prior to the Day of Service celebration at the Patton Homestead in Hamilton on July 18th, which is an event sponsored by USABOT.
